Luke's Gymnastics Performance...

I have been meaning to post something about Luke's gymnastics show...it happened right after his bday party and I still haven't caught up on posts! Anyway...it was really cute and I was really proud of him because he stayed with his class and did the routine that he was supposed to do...and didn't go onto the floor when it wasn't his turn (that is huge when considering all that cool stuff he could be climbing on)! It was really cute!

Step Right Up...Welcome to the Greatest Party on Earth!

This year we had so much fun planning and partying for the kids' birthdays! We decided to do a combined party. Elle turned 1 on May 29th and Luke turned 4 on June 7th. We had a bunch of family that was in town for Memorial day Weekend so we planned the carnival for then :) Luke and I had a great time painting decorations and signs for the event. We yard saled and got lucky finding a hot dog machine for $1 and some popcorn containers for a $.25! We borrowed a snow cone machine from a family friend, and Bapo and mimi rented a bounce house for the kids (big hit). We had tickets, games, prizes, concessions, photo booths, face painting, tattoos and more. It was really fun planning the details of this party...so many things to think of.

The Birthday Cake

For cake we had popcorn cupcakes, ice cream cone cupcakes, regular cupcakes with sprinkles and a blue cake with all kinds of fun carnival colored candy and carnival picks sitting on a silly feet cake stand (looked like clown feet).

I also need to mention that if anyone ever goes looking for party supplies online... DO NOT ORDER FROM HOMETOWN CELEBRATIONS!!!!! This is a scam business that looks incredibly lagit...and its not. I ordered cake supplies from them 3 weeks before the party and never received them. I was so upset!!! I had to come up with an alternative cake plan the day before the party and I was a little upset because I had such great plans for the kid's birthday cake this year. So this explains the random cake display that I came up with last minute. The good news is...the kids still loved the cake...and I ended up getting my money back. Now I just have to report them to the better business bureau :)
