Um What?!
Hey...that man is not a logger? Or is he?
Where to begin...Let's start with Monday when these loggers showed up at my house with all this heavy machinery. Keith and I had talked about opening up the lot eventually because it was really dense and we felt like we lived at a campground. Well eventually came rather quickly as these loggers took almost every pine tree in the front of our house! I'm still in shock. The pine trees were really ugly and were so tall that they probably would have fallen on our house eventually...but I am still in shock at how quickly deforestation occurs! I'm trying to visualize the wonderful grass that we will someday have...and hopefully landscaping. Here are some pictures of the machines that are currently parked at the top of my driveway! And my driveway is also destroyed...luckily it was only dirt to begin with. This is pretty interesting to watch, and Luke loves the machines.
And another wonderful thing...it's 6:45AM and they just started the Skidder!

Just another day...
After he's done mowing he has to run errands in his car. His favorite thing is to stop and fill up his gas tank 100 times.
After the Rock Park he works...he has to mow the lawn, and is quite busy with that.
We have a lot of big rocks in our backyard and Luke refers to this area as "The Rock Park". He tells me he has to go there to do his exercises.

Flashback to Luke's Nursery
Elle's Nursery is Ready!
Tada! I'm so excited her room is done! Now we are just waiting to bring her home and put her in it :)
This room is tiny so it is hard to get a good shot of everything together.
"The Shelf"
I covered this lamp shade to match the ribbon mobile.
I just love this doll so I had to take a picture!
The crib :)
We made this changing table for Luke's nursery and just put on new colors for Elle.

Luke's Quote of the Day!
We are only about 2 weeks away from Elle's arrival and today we finally made it over to the hospital for a quick tour of labor and delivery. I got to bring the boys...and Luke is potty training at this point. Well...Keith, Luke and I walked into the hospital and Luke was like..."I have to go"...so Keith took him to the men's room. While he was in there he said to Keith..."Make sure mommy doesn't pick out a baby with out me!" As he hurried the bathroom process along.
Luke had a great time touring the labor floor and talking the guide's ear off! He also told her that the babies all needed naps and that was why they were crying and that he was crying in the truck before he came in because he wanted daddy's tape measure. He is starting to divulge way too much information!

Elle's Shower
A few nights ago I was lucky enough to have a baby shower for Elle! It was so fun to see all the little girly things and to think that I am actually going to use them! I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who was able to come and make it so much fun...and thank you to Sherri and Janice for putting it on. It made my week...and I am actually having fun doing her laundry because the clothes are so cute! And as a side note...I only put up 2 pictures because I look like a whale :)

Stuff for Elle's Room
I'm going to hang this ribbon mobile above the crib :)
Some hooks that I painted.
I'm not much of a sewer, but I did manange to cover this pillow with different fabrics from some receiving blankets that I liked.
Sign for the wall.
I made the picture out of different types of paper and liked it so much that I decided to make some wooden birds too.
These flowers are made of ribbon and buttons and I'm going to put the block on a shelf probably.
This flower is tin and I had it in my yardsale last year but no one bought
it...lucky for me because now that I've painted it it works great in the room.
This was Luke's rocker and I covered the ottoman and made a pillow for Elle.
Last week I finally came to the realization that I am running out of time to make my little girl's room cute...and that I better get on it! So basically...up until last week all I had done with her room was come up with ideas...but nothing was made because I have been too busy doing other things. Sooooo...I got motivated real quick once I looked at the calendar and saw that May was only days away! So here are some of the things that I have made in the last week to put in her room...that is still being painted :) I'll take a picture of the nursery when it is all done...but this is what we have so far and she is due in 3 weeks...yikes!
