Fish Stories

This is a monumental post because Keith has been waiting for the day that he could actually take Lukey fishing...and he finally got his chance last weekend! They were both so excited to go. We bought Luke his first fishing pole and tackle box on Friday, and Saturday morning they were out the door (I stayed home...guys only...fine by me :) I wasn't sure Luke would have the attention span for sitting and waiting for fish to bite...but Keith said he was all about it. He handled the worms and did everything just like daddy. He came home and told me that he caught 4 trout and that he had caught the biggest fish. He had so much fun that he was talking about catching crayfish in his sleep! He is ready to go again this Saturday :)

Sporticus

Luke has a vivid imagination and he also likes to copy things that he sees. Sooo...I made the mistake of letting him watch this creepy show on the preschool channel called "Lazy Town" and there is this character named "Sporticus"...long story short...he was looking for his Sporticus shoes (which we don't have)so he could do flips and pushups like Sporticus. So his new trick is flipping off the couch backwards, and then running to the other side of the room to do pushups like Sporticus! Its really funny to watch.

Must be spring...

Last week we went to the playground for the first time since it is finally starting to warm up around here. Luke had a blast checking out his climbing skills...and I had a blast watching him. He is getting so big! I did however feel bad because he kept asking me "mom, where's my buddy?" As he watched all the other kids that had friends at the playground...but Luke being Luke had no problem walking up to every kid there and asking them if they wanted to play...so that was good...until they shot him down :( Why can't all kids be friendly?!!!!!

Hunting for Eggs

I have to say this was a very cool year for easter egg hunts! Luke was all about it! He couldn't find the eggs fast enough...My favorite part was watching him spot an egg on the other side of the yard and then run past 5 other ones to get the one that he saw first. Also hillarious... his bucket was over flowing and he would lose eggs and think that he found new ones at his feet when they fell.

Coloring Eggs

Ooopps...These are a little late! Anyway...On Easter, Luke had pretty much been running around Aunt Pat's for 4 hours and finally wanted to sit and do something...so Amy had some colored eggs and some chalk and that kept him busy for atleast 30 minutes! It was really cute!

Bunny Business

Keith and Luke thought it was a terrible idea for Luke to wear bunny ears...and this is me..."Luke, want to dress up like the Easter bunny?" Luke..."Nope!" Me..." I'll give you a cupcake :)" Luke..."Cheese!"

Visit from the Easter Bunny

We had a big easter egg hunt at Bapa and Mimi's on Saturday with Keith's coworkers and their families. It was lots of fun and the Easter bunny made a special appearance for the kids! He brought baskets filled with goodies for all of them and then had a special place to take pictures :) It was very cute.

Luke kept asking if he was going to get to see the scary easter bunny this year...but apparently he wasn't affraid to hug him.

Shark Project

One morning last week Luke told me he wanted to do a project...I asked him what kind...and he said a shark project indefinitely. He told me we needed lots of colored paper, scissors, glue and googly eyes...he thought stickers would be good too :) Sooo, I cut out what he wanted using the colors of his choice...he glued it and payed close attention to which colors were selected for the eyes of each creature. Then he found all the letters of his name using stickers and stuck them on his project. He was so proud and couldn't wait to show Daddy when he got home!

Building "Bird houses"

Spring is slowly arriving in NH and we are thrilled! We still have some snow in our yard...but the days are getting longer and a bit warmer. Anyway... Keith decided to make a few bird feeders for the yard last week...and Luke has been building bird houses with his blocks and putting fake birds on them. It's really cute how he mimics his dad :)
