Flower Children

I thought these pictures were too cute not to post! Thanks everyone for making it such a fun party! Luv you!

Cake and Presents!

Cake and presents...always fun at any age!

The Party Animals!

This is just part of the family...but here we are the ones that are within driving distance of my house. It is so great to be able to finally do things like this with everyone!

Happy BDay to the GG's

On Sunday we had a combined birthday party for my grandparents at my house. Their birthdays are only a day apart and I have never had the chance to throw them a party...so this was my year! I was so excited to do it. Grampy turned 78 and Gram turned 73. Gram said she hadn't had a party in 23 years! Guess we dropped the ball on that one! Sorry GG! We had a Spring Chicken theme since they are both born at the end of March. There were 13 of us at the party and it was a blast...I'll post some pics now of the party goers :)

Indoor Hopscotch

The weather has been warming up...however on this particular day it was freezing and Luke decided he wanted to play hopscotch (random...since he's never played it before). So...I said let's do it...and taped it to the living room floor. He thought it was brilliant :) So did I, since he got to use his energy and practice his counting at the same time.

Abstract Painting

Luke loves to paint...and he likes to mix all the colors up himself. He told me this picture was of a meat eating dinosaur.

St. Patty's Party!

On St. Patrick's Day Luke got into all of my wrapping and party supplies and told me he really wanted to have a birthday party. I told him we'd have to wait for a birthday party but we could have a St.Patrick's Day party instead. He had no clue what I was talking about but went with it. His only criteria were that we needed to have balloons, streamers, and cake. Sooo...we made a chocolate cake with green frosting, hung balloons and streamers, dressed in green, made a leprican hat and did some face paint. It was quite the party for 2!

Go Diego Go!

Luke has been pretending for the longest time that he is Diego the animal rescuer. He was doing it with no rescue pack until last week when I finally bought him one! Boy was he happy. He put that pack on and ran through the house over, under, around and through everything. The backpack was empty until he decided to put random rescuing supplies in it...he pretended to have a map, rope, binoculars and a hang glider. Then he got me in on the action by calling me Elysia and telling me "Quick, there's an animal in trouble...we have to help him!"

Box Car Bliss

Maybe you can't tell...but this is a sweet ride! Atleast Luke thought so :) We were going to get rid of this box...but it had so much potential. We were trying to decide if we should make a train, boat, car or a treasure chest out of it. The car idea won with Luke and then the body work began. He told me everything that the car needed...which as you can see wasn't much...and he was off...rescuing animals, making deliveries, and stopping by the bakery. He had a busy day filling up the gas tank and checking for engine problems. It was awesome to watch him use his imagination. Oh, and he was also talking on his phone while driving :)

S'Mores!

Well...after all that morning activity Luke took a 3 hour nap! When he woke up Keith was home and we decided we weren't done having fun yet so we headed back outside to make a fire and Smores. This was also Luke's first time really doing the marshmallows by himself, and he loved every minute of it!

Squirreling Around

After his picnic...Luke decided to search for acorns and pretend to be a squirrel. My favorite part besides him trying to eat bark and climb the tree like a squirrel... was him stock piling the nuts in a hole in the tree! It was priceless!

Snow Picnic

After completely soaking himself in puddles in the front yard...Luke decided to put on some dry cloths and help me put together a snow picnic. This was our first time having one...and it was just fun to eat outside and be warm again!

March Madness

It's amazing how much fun you can have with rainboots and almost 60 degree weather! Luke and I were outside at 9:30AM on Saturday soaking up the sun. We went for a 2 hour walk...looking for puddles and rocks most of the way...and then came home to a pretty flooded driveway from all the melting ice and snow. We thought it was phenominal! Luke stomped on everything that was wet, and then decided to sit on the front steps and let the melting ice from the roof hit him on the head. He was completely soaked from head to toe...but neither of us cared :)
