Easter Sunday

A hurried attempt at a family photo before church on Easter Sunday...what can I say..you win some...you lose some.

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Eggs 101

Painting Easter Baskets

The finished products. They both pretty much painted every square inch of their bunnies.

Time to paint Elle's Easter basket.

Luke was very excited to paint his basket and knew exactly what he was going to do.

Bapo had made all the grandkids wooden easter baskets that look like bunnies. I thought this was pretty cool because they were very similar to the ones that me and my brother and sister had when we were kids...that he and my mom had made. Anway...he assembled them with Elle and painted them white and the rest was history. My kids were very excited about painting their own baskets.

Flippin' Kids

The Reading Cubby

Not sure if I ever mentioned this or not...but we had a very unfinished storage space under our staircase that was pretty much dangerous and off limits. We decided to fix it up and make it a place for the kids to read and play. Prior to this there was no wall on the left side...it was exposed to the basement stairs so if you crawled in there you could fall into the basement...nice huh? Apparently their was no building code in the 80s when our house was built. Anyway...Keith built a wall, wired it for electricity, installed little lights, sheet rocked and painted it, built bookcases in the wall, and installed wood flooring a long time ago. We finally did the finish work around the bookcase and floor and I decide to take a picture of it. The kids have loved this secret room under the stairs and so do their friends.

Snow in March

It didn't snow all winter...which was weird, but we were kind of getting used to it. Anyway...just when we were seriously itching for spring to arrive we got a huge snow storm instead! This was the kid's only snowman and sledding of the winter...minus the freak incident we had around Halloween.

The Dynamic Duo

Not sure how I let this photo slip by me...but this happened during one of those long winter days here. These two are definitely the dynamic duo!
