My Bench

Sometimes its the simple things that make me happy...for instance this old black bench that I got at an Antique store down the road :) I love it and had to share it with you...

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was priceless! I went into Luke's room and he said..."Do you think Santa came to our house last night?" I said,"Let's go see"...Luke got to the top of the stairs and looked at the Christmas Tree and said..."He sure did! That's amazing...how did he get all of that done while we were sleeping?" Then he said..."wait, I know...he's magic and he just turns into sparkles and goes up and down the chimney." I really should have had the video camera going :)

Luke tore open this present from Rand, Norah and Hazel and exclaimed "awesome! I always wanted this... What is this??

Elle got this shopping cart and doll and she was in Heaven!

Christmas Earrings

This is a picture of all the women on Keith's side of the family on Christmas Eve night...wearing the earrings that Luke made for each of them. It was the cutest thing ever. He told Keith that he wanted to make mommy some earring for Christmas so Keith being the wonderfully well rounded guy that he is...went to the craft store and brought home supplies to make me earrings. They worked together in secret. Luke then decided that he wanted to make more presents so he started calling the ladies in Keith's family to find out what their favorite color was and if they had holes in their ears. He wrapped them all himself and wrote their names and then proudly handed them out on Christmas Eve. It was so darn cute!

Bad Santa

This is what Elle thought about Santa!

Little Miss Sassy Pants

She is magically transforming into a little miss sassy pants over night...she's running now...not walking, tearing things apart, says "NO" and means it and can wear her hair up in one pony tail...what next?! Maybe I'll start by buying her a bigger bib...you think?

Christmas is Coming!

Christmas wouldn't be complete without decorating a gingerbread house...well atleast not for Luke!

did I say Luke? I meant Keith!

We are getting pretty excited over here for Christmas! Luke has 2 count down calendars that he religously abides by each day and lets us all know what number we're on and how many days left :)

Fall...whoops did that happen already?

I was making dinner and I looked over to find Elle reading my Every Day Food magazine inside the magazine basket. Love her!

Elle and Sharon chattin it up at Thanksgiving.

Luke assaulting Uncle Louis at Thanksgiving.

Elle enjoying Thanksgiving dinner from her booster chair.

Luke's favorite thing is the turkey leg!

Luke helping mommy make pies for Thanksgiving...

Luke shaking his butt in mommy's face while making pies for Thanksgiving...he officially loves shaking his butt and thinks its hillarious...he is the rumpshaker.

Luke trying to wrangle his sister before church without losing his cookie...

She can't be stopped!

Luke's Quote of the Day...

I picked Luke up from Preschool today and on the way home he said to me......... "The United States Runs on Dunkin mom". I thought that was hillarious. Dunkin is short for Dunkin Donuts if you are in a part of the country that doesn't have one on every street corner....we just about do :) Let's hear it for donuts...

Happy Halloween 2010

Trunk or Treat at the church.

The robot, bumblee bee and Jane Goodall.

Buzz buzz...

New Boston Trick or Treat...it was freezing, but always a great time!

Luke was pretty much a celebrity because his costume was the only one that lit up and made noise. All his friends from Preschool knew it was him when they saw him coming down the street at night because they had seen him earlier in the week at their Pumpkin Patch Party. It was really cute. He was supposed to be a bat but his costume that I ordered online didn't come in time so we made the robot instead. It was wired with LED battery operated multi-colored Christmas lights, had a miniature strobe light on the head, along with several glow sticks, a blinking light on the backside, and an ironman push button on the front that also lit up and made wicked awesome robot sounds. We had fun!

Budget Kitchen Make Over...

Before...

After! I would have to say that this was definitely a glorious day when Keith decided to tackle the ugle oak kitchen. It was very dark and out dated and I felt like I was cooking in a cave. With no money to redo a kitchen the real way...we decided to take matters into our hands and just paint it! It was sort of a pain...but I'm really happy we did it. New nickel hardware and a light fixture and we have a new room! Thank you Keith! We aren't quite done with it...but we're done for right now. We still have to change the floor and paint the island...but I'm very happy with the progress :)

Must be Fall in NH...

First time using a fork!

Elle started using a fork! I thought she would just throw it on the floor...but she actually uses it...guess I could have tried this sooner :)

Hill Billy Baby...Elley Joe

A few weeks ago we had our first bad accident with Elle. I was horrified. We were eating dinner outside on the deck and she was all done so she wanted to go play. Well...I let her and she fell off the stairs on the back deck and hit her mouth on the step! Her entire bottom tooth was knocked out...root and all! There was lots of blood...looked like UFC fighting at our house. Needless to say she will not be getting that tooth back for atleast 5 years! My adorable little girl now has hill billy teeth until her big teeth grow in.

This summer I was determined to get some sort of swingset and play area for the kids to play on. We worked on building this rock wall from stones we found on our property and then Keith borrowed a dump truck from a patient and brought about 20 loads of sand in to fill the pit. I had found a swingset that needed some love on Craig's List and it has been the best thing ever! We love having a place to play in our own yard.

I was suprised to find out that Luke's favorite thing are the monkey bars and swing...thought for sure it would be the fort and slide.

double trouble. Its so fun having Elle play with us!

I asked Luke what we should call this special spot...and he named it Far Far Away. We made a sign one day with his hand print @ 4 years old, Elle's footprint @ 1 year and Mom and Dad's thumbprints as "old".

Moose Hillock Campground

For Keith's 30 Birthday he wanted to go camping (this was back on July 25th). That's right folks...no BIG PARTY for Keke. He wanted to just spend time with the fam and do something fun...SO WE DID! We packed up the kiddos and camping gear and headed North to Moose Hillock Campground. We were excited to go because we had never been and this was also Elle's first time camping :) It was a great place and we had an awesome camp site right next to all the fun. There was a great Pirate Ship Pool, a large playground with lots of wooden structures, a stocked fishing pond shaped like the USA, and a great river to play in. Luke was in heaven!

Luke playing in the river...you can't beat good old mother nature!

Elle wanted to jump in the river too...she loved all the big rocks and the little waterfalls to play in.

The reason we decided to try out this campground! Only the coolest Ship wrecked Pirate Ship pool I've ever seen at any camp ground ever!!!! Infact...its the only theme pool I've ever seen at a campground. It definitely made Luke and Keith's day :)

If going down on your butt gets old...there's always head first! We could stay at the pool all day.
